To effectively reduce audit fatigue, we need brands to accept SLCP verified data. Accepting our data and publicly communicating this is much appreciated by manufacturers, see this FAQ.
When onboarding your suppliers to SLCP, inform them about SLCP and what it means for them. You can make use of the following template letter and communication tools in your outreach:

- Share with them the list of brands and retailers currently accepting SLCP
As filling in a self-assessment might be new for your supplier, you can also consider supporting and making it a joint assessment. Additionally, you can consider arranging customized training for your suppliers, delivered by an SLCP approved Training Body (TB). More information in this FAQ.
Note: facilities own the assessment and verification process; they need to assign the Verifier Body (VB). You can work with your supplier to choose VBs but, as SLCP verified data is intended to be used by multiple parties, the facility might select a VB based on suggestions from other brands. Via the Verification Oversight Organization, SLCP administers a thorough Verifier Body/ Verifier selection process that ensures Verifiers of the highest quality and integrity.
