Can a facility that is not participating in the Better Work program share their SLCP assessment data from the Gateway to the Better Work platform?
No, this is not possible. SLCP assessment data cannot be shared from the Gateway to the Better Work platform.
Does a Better Work facility need to complete the Higg FSLM assessment, in addition to completing a Better Work assessment?
There is no need to complete a Higg FSLM assessment on Worldly in addition to a Better Work assessment. It is possible to use your Better Work assessment data to obtain an FSLM score, and you can find more information about this process here.
Does a Better Work facility need a connection to an Accredited Host (AH) to be able to share their data?
No, this is not required. Better Work-enrolled facilities in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Vietnam and Pakistan have the option to share their Better Work assessment data directly from the SLCP Gateway. From there, the assessment report can be downloaded as a document, shared via email or shared with an AH for further services, such as conversion to a Higg FSLM score on the Worldly platform.
Having a connection to an AH is therefore not a requirement for facilities, as sharing assessment data is already enabled directly through the SLCP Gateway. More information about sharing assessment reports via the SLCP Gateway can be found here.
What is the Law Overlay and where can I find it?
The Law Overlay provides guidance on national legislation and international labor standards to help facilities and Verifiers interpret and answer legal questions in the Data Collection Tool. It is developed by Better Work in collaboration with SLCP and is available for the following countries:
- Bangladesh
- Indonesia
- Vietnam
- Pakistan
The Law Overlay is only applicable to Step 1 of the Data Collection Tool.
The Law Overlay is available in the online version of the Tool when accessed via the Accredited Host platform. Information on applicable national legislation can be found in “Law Guidance” info box next to each question. The Law Overlay can also be used offline, as a separate Excel document in this article.
In which Better Work counties can facilities share their Better Work assessment data via the SLCP Gateway?
This option is currently available only for Better Work facilities in Bangladesh, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Pakistan. More information can be found in this article.
My facility is part of the Better Work program and is in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Vietnam or Pakistan. How can I share data between Better Work and SLCP?
During the registration process on the Better Work platform, an option will be available to register to the SLCP Gateway and establish a connection between the platforms. In this way, the data sharing will be enabled automatically. Once your Better Work assessment is completed, the assessment data will be available in the Gateway. From there, it’s possible to share it directly to brands and other interested parties.
Alternatively, it can also be shared via an Accredited Host (AH) for additional services. You can find detailed information on how to connect your Better Work and Gateway accounts here, and guidance on how to share your data via the Gateway platform here.
In case you already have the SLCP Gateway profile or you did not make a connection with the Better Work platform, the connection needs to be established manually. In such circumstances, please reach out to SLCP Support team for additional assistance in completing the connection.
Can any facility that participates in the Better Work program in an SLCP country share their assessment data with the SLCP Gateway?
