Linking your Better Work (BW) and Social & Labor Convergence Program (SLCP) accounts helps streamline compliance reporting and makes data sharing easier. For your reference, there are three common scenarios given below, and most facilities fall within these.
Data sharing is currently active in four Better Work countries: Bangladesh, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Pakistan. Facilities participating in the Better Work program in these countries are able to share their Better Work assessment reports with brands through the SLCP Gateway. To get started, find the scenario below that matches your facility's status and follow the step-by-step instructions to connect Better Work and SLCP platforms. By connecting your Better Work facility with the SLCP Gateway, you will ensure efficient data sharing with accredited hosts and brands. This connection helps reduce the costs of duplicate assessments and related expenses.
You are new to Better Work and SLCP
If you have recently registered with Better Work, your Better Work Profile needs to be finalized before you can connect to SLCP Gateway:
- Wait for onboarding: Please wait until you are fully onboarded by the Better Work team.
- Access your profile: Once your Better Work Profile is active on the Better Work Platform, log in to your account.
- Connect to Gateway: You can now proceed to connect to the SLCP Gateway directly from the Better Work Platform.
You are enrolled in Better Work but new to SLCP
If your Better Work profile is active but you do not yet have an SLCP Gateway account, you can easily create and link one right from the Better Work Platform.
- Log in to your Better Work platform profile.
- Click the "Request for data sharing via SLCP" button.
- Wait to be automatically redirected to the SLCP Gateway platform where you will need to create an account on the SLCP Gateway. You can find additional guidance on how to register on the SLCP Gateway here.
You are new to Better Work but have an existing SLCP Profile
If you already have an active SLCP Gateway account, our support team will have to manually link your two profiles together. To arrange this please:
- Gather your details: Note down your exact Facility Name and Gateway ID.
- Contact Support: Submit a request to the SLCP Helpdesk providing these details.
- Confirmation: Our support team will connect your existing Gateway profile to the Better Work platform and will update you as soon as it is complete.
Additional tips for a more seamless experience
- Connect Early: We highly recommend linking your profiles at the very start of your Better Work assessment cycle, if that option is available to you. This gives you plenty of time to complete the SLCP self-assessment without feeling rushed.
- Consider SLCP Assessment Step: Step 1 of SLCP Assessment is integrated in the Better Work assessment. However, if you want to complete Step 2 or Step 3 data of the SLCP assessment, you will need to complete it in the Data Collection Tool before starting your Better Work assessment.
