What kind of training is available to SLCP users?

There are three types of training available for SLCP system users:

1. SLCP E-Learning
2. Training by SLCP
3. Training by Training Bodies

SLCP E-Learning

SLCP’s online training educates users on all aspects of the SLCP process and system in the form of seven e-learning modules:

1. Introduction to SLCP
2. Introduction to the ITC Sustainability Program
3. The Data Collection Tool
4. The Verification Process
5. Quality Control in the SLCP Verification Process
6. Navigating the Gateway
7. Understanding the Role of Accredited Hosts

Module	Content
1: Introduction to SLCP	SLCP's vision and mission, as well as why, when, how, and by who SLCP was created. Introduction to the three stages of the SLCP assessment process: Data Collection, Verification and Data Sharing. Introduction to SLCP's unique data hosting and sharing system made up of the Gateway and Accredited Hosts. The costs involved in the SLCP process.
2: Introduction to the ITC Sustainability Program	Who ITC is, and what they have to offer besides their support to SLCP. Introduction to Trade for Sustainable Development (T4SD) and the Sustainability Map.
3: The Data Collection Tool	An up-close look at the first stage of the SLCP process: data collection. Difference between a self-assessment and joint assessment Content, navigation, requirements, and tips to get you started with the Data Collection Tool
4: The Verification Process	An up-close look at the second stage of the SLCP process: verification Who is involved, why facility data needs to be verified and how SLCP verifications are different from current social and labor audits. Deep dive into what happens before, during and after the onsite verification, sharing tips and guidance along the way. Information on automated data quality checks and report invalidation are discussed.
5: Quality Control in the SLCP Verification Process	The procedures SLCP has in place to ensure the quality and integrity of SLCP verified data. Introduction to the Verification Oversight Organization (VOO), including their role and responsibilities. Quality Assurance (QA) activities are listed and explained. What the outcomes of QA activities are used for and the immediate consequences of such activities.
6: Navigating the Gateway	Why the Gateway was developed, including how data is stored and which SLCP system users must create accounts. How to create a Gateway profile for both facilities and Verifiers. Facilities learn how to view, and share verified assessment reports.
7: Understanding the Role of Accredited Hosts	The difference between an Active and Passive Accredited Host (AH). What can be done on each type of platform and in which stage of the SLCP assessment process. How Accredited Hosts add value to SLCP verified data through services such as benchmarking and remediation planning.

The e-learning modules are available in seven languages (English, Chinese, Turkish, Spanish, Bahasa, Vietnamese, and Portuguese) and free of charge.

Five courses are offered:

1. Facilities are required to complete the Facility Course. This course consists of the seven e-learning modules, but only the completion of modules 3, 6 and 7 are required to receive the certificate. The CODE found on the certificate must be added to the facility’s Gateway profile.
2. Aspiring Verifiers are required to complete the Verifier Course. This course consists of the seven e-learning modules and a final exam. Only after completing all course requirements and obtaining a passing grade on the final exam will Verifier candidates be approved to conduct SLCP verifications. 3. Verifier Body administrators are required to complete the Verifier Body Manager Course. The completion of all seven e-learning modules is required to receive the certificate.
4. Aspiring Trainers are required to complete the Trainer Course. This course consists of the seven e-learning modules and train-the-trainer sessions. Only after completing all course requirements will candidate Trainers be approved to train SLCP system users. 5. We welcome all other SLCP stakeholders, including brand representatives, industry associations, and agents to complete the General Course. The completion of all seven e-learning modules is required to receive the certificate.

Training by SLCP

In addition to the e-learning, SLCP has hosted in-person training across the globe and virtual training in numerous local languages. Depending on the session, introductory or deep dive content is presented on all aspects of the SLCP process and system.

Training by Training Bodies (TBs)

SLCP partners with qualified Training Bodies to bring in-person and virtual training opportunities to SLCP users in local languages. Training Bodies utilize SLCP provided training materials to develop customized training sessions on all aspects of the SLCP process and system.
