Facilities select the VB for their verification on the Accredited Host (AH) platform while completing their self/joint-assessment. A VB will only appear if the country/region of operation matches between the VB and the facility, as well as the language spoken in the facility and by Verifiers linked to the VB.
The match is made based on Gateway profiles. The Verification Oversight Organization (VOO) fills in Country(ies)/Region(s) of Operation and Languages spoken in the Verifier profile. This information needs to match the following fields in a facility's Gateway profile:
- Country/Region – Field that indicates where the facility is located
- All languages spoken at the facility – Field that indicated which languages are spoken by facility management and workers.
Often, when the VB does not appear in the list on the AH platform, this is because the facility did not select all languages spoken in the facility (but only the main language spoken in the facility). The facility should update their Gateway profile in order to see a broader list of Verifier Bodies.
Note: Verifiers only need to match one language in a facility. However, the more languages match between the facility and the Verifier(s), the better. Once the Verifier/VB receive the self-/joint-assessment from the facility, VB/Verifier must check which languages are spoken in the facility in order to follow the Verification Protocol and interview all employee groups. You must hire translators if you do not speak all languages spoken in the facility.
