Facilities select a VB on the Accredited Host (AH) platform during their assessment. To appear as an option, the VB’s Gateway profile must match the facility’s profile in two areas: Location (Country/Region) and Language.
If you are a VB and have a VB score over 4, and you are not showing on a facility's list, it could be due to:
- VB rotation requirements
- A language mismatch. Facilities often only list their "primary" language, which restricts the match between VBs and facilities. Facilities should ensure their Gateway profile includes all languages spoken at the facility.
- Time stamp of the list (the facility may have generated their VB list before the VB reached a score of 4). VBs who have a score below 4 are randomly selected for a facility's list.
Note: Once the Verifier/VB receives the assessment from the facility, they must check which languages are spoken in the facility in order to follow the Verification Protocol and interview all employee groups. VBs must hire translators if they do not speak all languages spoken in the facility.
