Active, passive, and brand hosts in the SLCP Gateway are platforms or organizations that facilities can connect with to share their verified assessment data. This support article will cover the definition of active, passive and brand Hosts, their purpose and how they connect with the SLCP Gateway.

Accredited Hosts (AHs) are third party organizations that enable SLCP data collection and analyze SLCP verified data for end users.
There are 3 different types of SLCP Accredited Hosts and the main differences between them are in the way they connect to SLCP Gateway and what options they offer in terms of processing SLCP verified data. These are Active Accredited Hosts, Passive Accredited Hosts and Brand Hosts.
In case you have additional questions about the Accredited Hosts services or you experience issues with the connection, you will also find their contact information included below.
Active Accredited Host
An Active Accredited Host (AH) platform is an SLCP-approved external service provider where facilities complete their self-/joint-assessments, and verifiers submit verification findings directly on the same platform. The verified data is then shared to the SLCP Gateway, enabling facilities to control how their data is distributed to other Accredited Hosts.
As a facility, on an Active AH platform you can:
- Initiate self-/joint-assessment
- Submit self-/joint-assessment by either uploading the Excel Tool or filling it in online
- Request verification and select a Verifier Body
- Approve/Dispute verified assessment report
- Share verified assessment report with end user
As a Verifier, on an Active AH platform you can:
- Upload the offline verification and access the online verification
- Fill in verification findings and submit verification
- Active Accredited Hosts can also analyze data for end-users, e.g., compare data to a brand's Code of Conduct or apply scoring.
Current SLCP Active Accredited Hosts is Worldly.
Passive Accredited Host
A Passive Accredited Host (PAH) is a platform that receives and analyzes verified SLCP assessment data but does not directly collect or verify it from facilities. In other words, passive hosts rely on the SLCP Gateway to access data that has already been collected, and they use this information for instance for further reporting, benchmarking, or sustainability programs. Passive Accredited Hosts can only process assessment data and share the results of that with any interested third party, which means a facility cannot complete its self-/joint assessment or have it verified on a Passive Accredited Host.
Current SLCP Passive Accredited Hosts are Inspectorio and Retraced.
Brand Host
A Brand Host (BH) is a subtype of a Passive Accredited Host. However, unlike a Passive Accredited Host, the data shared with a Brand host is processed for internal purpose of the brand and cannot be shared further with other parties in this way. Some brands will invest in such a platform as it allows them to collect data from their supply chain in an easier and streamlined way. They use SLCP assessment data for internal purposes and their own analysis. Facilities have the option to share their verified assessment reports directly from their Gateway profile with the Brand Host.
Current SLCP Brand Hosts are Inditex (factorysupport@inditex.com) & Target (responsible.sourcing@target.com)
