Pre-verification checks
Before verification begins, SLCP confirms VB and Verifier eligibility, and validate facility-entered self-assessment data on the Accredited Host.
In addition, SLCP creates Facility alerts linked to a facility profile for suspected or confirmed serious issues, to ensure Verifiers are aware of potential risks during the assessment, helping them focus on specific issues while onsite.
Post-verification checks
After verification, once the Verifier submits the report, SLCP runs automated quality checks on all reports to identify errors. It serves as a technical "gatekeeper" to reduce instances of inconsistencies as well as wrong or missing data input of verified assessment reports.
Verifiers must correct the mistakes before the report can proceed, and recurring issues are monitored to detect deeper quality problems.
Facilities then review and finalize the report, confirming its accuracy and taking ownership of the data.
After a report is finalized
Post-report finalization, SLCP continues quality assurance through desktop reviews, duplicate or counter verifications, and descriptive and predictive analytics, including AI-based tools that flag outliers and patterns of poor-quality data.
These findings can lead to corrective actions, ensuring accountability, continuous improvement, and the integrity of SLCP data. The number of mistakes found in reports also impacts a VBs or Verifiers score.

What is a facility alert?
A facility alert is a notification linked to a facility profile on the SLCP Gateway. It communicates serious issues in a facility to the VB and Verifier assigned to conduct next verification, and is only visible to them. They can be created for confirmed circumstances, or for suspicions of serious issues, helping Verifiers focus on potential risks during the assessment.
What is a Desktop Review?
Desktop Reviews assess the quality of a final verified assessment report. Mandatory Desktop Reviews are conducted for every new Verifiers first report to provide feedback for improvement and ensure they are meeting SLCP standards.
We also conduct risk-based Desktop Reviews. These are conducted on reports which are flagged to SLCP through one of our feedback channels or quality assurance activities, for example through complaints, predictive or descriptive analytics, or other methods.
Desktop Reviews are important for upholding quality standards, because they allow SLCP to identify exactly what quality mistakes have been made, and issue a Corrective Action Request for improvements.
What is a Duplicate or Counter Verification?
A duplicate or Counter Verification is a complete or partial repetition of an SLCP verification to assess quality by comparing the results with the original verification.
How does SLCP use predictive analytics to look for VB and Verifier mistakes?
Quality assurance in social and labor assessments is challenging because of the variety and quantity of data collected in a single audit or assessment.
