What is the mission of SLCP?
SLCP aims to improve social and labor conditions in global supply chains by reducing the number of social and labor audits in facilities. This eliminates audit fatigue, enables data comparison, and frees up resources for improvement programs.
How will this mission be achieved?
By implementing a Converged Assessment Framework (CAF) to collect social and labor data that can replace all current audit methodologies. The CAF consists of a Data Collection Tool and verification methodology: together they provide the tools to produce a set of verified data on social and labor conditions in facilities. Facilities can share this verified data with their business relations, including brands and standards. No additional data collection (audits) is needed.
This will:
1. Redirect (facility) resources previously spent on compliance audits to the improvement of social and labor conditions.
2. Increase the opportunity for greater comparability of social and labor data to better formulate and execute improvement programs.
