What is the mission of SLCP?
SLCP aims to reduce the number of social audits in facilities and provide credible social and labor data. SLCP eliminates audit fatigue, enables data comparison, and frees up resources for improvement programs. The ultimate goal is to improve social and labor conditions in global supply chains.
How will this mission be achieved?
Through the implementation of the Converged Assessment Framework (CAF) that can replace brand audits. The CAF consists of a Data Collection Tool, verification methodology and guidance documents. The CAF is used to collect and verify data on social and labor conditions in facilities. Facilities can share their verified data with multiple business partners, including brands and standards.
As SLCP verified data is accepted broadly, this will:
- Redirect (facility) resources previously spent on compliance audits to the improvement of social and labor conditions.
- Increase the opportunity for greater comparability of social and labor data to better formulate and execute improvement programs.
The list of organizations (brands, standard holders) that accept SLCP verified data can be found here.
