The assessment process consists of three stages: data collection, data verification and data sharing.
1. Data collection
The facility conducts a self-or joint-assessment. During a self-assessment, the facility fills in the Data Collection Tool themselves, through Excel or on the online system of one of the Accredited Hosts. In a joint-assessment, they get support from an external consultant when filling in the Data Collection Tool, e.g. from a brand. To complete the data collection, data must be submitted on an Accredited Host platform.
2. Data verification
The self- or joint-assessment data is verified by SLCP approved Verifiers. This means that a Verifier checks the completeness and accuracy of the data collected during the self-/joint-assessment. If it is not correct, they will correct the data. The verification is carried out offline through the Excel file, or online on the SLCP Accredited Host platform. A verification always includes an on-site visit.
3. Data sharing
The verified assessment data is uploaded to the Accredited Host within 10 working days after the on-site verification took place. The data can be viewed and approved by the facility on the Accredited Host platform. After approval by the facility (which needs to happen within 14 calendar days), the verified assessment is sent to the Gateway where it can be shared directly with brands or other business partners, or with other Accredited Hosts, as selected by the facility.
