SLCP does not apply any code of conduct or audit standard. Only raw factual data is collected; data that explains what the situation is like onsite. That way, the outcomes of the SLCP assessment process (verified facility data on social and labor conditions) can be used by all brands, standards and others. The verified data is compared to their own Code of Conduct or audit standard, and a conclusion is drawn.
The Data Collection Tool does include questions related to local labor laws and international labor standards (especially in Step 1 of the Tool). As legal requirements are beyond any standard, we do highlight non-compliances when they are found. They are included in the Verification Summary of the final report.
Also, we did partner with organizations that can interpret data and do scoring. The Accredited Hosts can use the raw data to score or compare to Codes of Conduct. Contact them to understand which services they can provide for you.
