How long is my verified data valid and when does it expire?
SLCP Verified data does not have an expiration date. However, we want to help reduce audit fatigue across the industry. Because of this, we advise facilities to complete an SLCP assessment every 12 months. Unless there are major changes to your operations, it’s a recommended frequency that keeps your data accurate and relevant. We also ask brands and buyers to accept SLCP assessments that were verified within the last 12 months.
Note: If working conditions at your facility change significantly, you do not need to wait a full year. In this case, please start a new assessment at your earliest convenience. This ensures your verified data always accurately shows the current conditions at your facility.
I am having issues selecting a VB
The selection of Verifying Body for facilities completing SLCP assessments has changed since 1 April 2026. As facilities are now able to select a VB from a list of pre-selected organizations, there could be many reasons why you are not seeing the same VB as previously on your list. To troubleshoot issues related to the VB selection list please consult this dedicated FAQ article.
My assessment status is Assessment Completed (ASC) or Verification in Progress (VRP). Can I change the status back to Assessment Initiated (ASI)?
In general, if the onsite verification hasn’t started yet, the assessment status can still be changed. To get the support to change the status, please reach out to the SLCP Helpdesk.
