In this article we explain how to select your Verifier Body (VB) on the Active Accredited Host platform and how to change your selection in case that is needed. With the launch of the new VB Selection Model in April 2026, facilities can only choose VBs that appear on their Selection list.

A facility looking to have their SLCP self/joint assessment verified by a SLCP Approved Verifier Body, needs to select one of the organizations that are offered on the Verifier Body selection list on the Active Accredited Host platform. Since April 2026 it is not possible anymore for a facility to choose any Verifying Body to complete their verification.
Selecting a Verifier Body
As you are in the process of finalizing your self/joint assessment, we recommend you check your VB selection list on the Active Accredited Host and contact your preferred VB before completing the self/joint assessment. This gives you and the VB sufficient time to plan for the verification to take place.
Once you have a confirmation from a VB that they are able to accept your request:
- Select the VB on your platform: Log into your active Accredited Host (AH) platform. Select your chosen VB on the platform.
- Wait for assignment: The VB will receive an automated email. They will assign an approved individual Verifier or a team to your facility.
Note: The brand(s) you work with may suggest a specific VB. However, you can only choose the VB that appears on your Selection list. All brands should accept SLCP assessments from any SLCP approved VBs. If a brand partner refuses to accept your report, please reach out to us via the SLCP Helpdesk.
Why a specific Verifier Body may not be visible on your list?
A VB will only appear as an option if their profile matches your facility profile. Among others professional criteria, VBs will only appear on that list if they are eligible to operate in the country where your facility is located and speak the languages spoken at your facility. VBs that have conducted your last assessment will also automatically be excluded from this list to ensure rotation and therefore higher data quality.
We use information in your Gateway facility profile, which is why it’s important to review it before starting your SLCP assessment cycle.

Changing your Verifier Body
If you have not completed your self/joint assessment, you can change the VB selection directly on your Active Accredited Host (AH) platform. Keep in mind that the new VB should also be chosen based on your VB Selection list.
In case the verification has already started, you won’t be able to modify the VB selected for your verification. If this occurs, we advise you to reach out to us via the SLCP Helpdesk.

- SLCP Facility ID
- Facility name
- Assessment ID
- The name of your active Accredited Host (AH) platform
- The reason for changing the VB
